How to Apply MyNSFAS Funding Courses 

To apply for NSFAS funding, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit

  2. Go to ‘myNSFAS’ and click on it.

  3. Sign up for a myNSFAS account.

  4. Please click the ‘APPLY for Funding’ tab and fill out the sections.

  5. Select the course.

  6. Fill out the application selecting your Course.

  7. Upload the required supporting documents where applicable.

  8. Click on ‘Submit’.

NSFAS Funding Eligibility Requirements 2024-2025

To qualify for NSFAS Funding 2024, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Citizens or permanent residents of South Africa

  • Recipients of SASSA grants

  • An applicant combined annual gross household income cannot exceed R350 000

  • Those with disabilities whose combined gross household income does not exceed R600,000.

  • A cell phone number and an email account are required.

How do I check my NSFAS funded list?

  1. Please login to the NSFAS student portal through the myNSFAS student portal.

  2. Click SIGN IN on the NSFAS website after entering your username and password.

  3. To check NSFAS application status, click Track Funding Progress.

Ans: If your application is approved, you will receive a confirmation message in your email. To obtain the confirmation letter, you need to open it, download it, and print it out. The confirmation letter can also be obtained through the MyNSFAS Student Portal.

Ans: You can track your application status online by logging into your myNSFAS account and clicking the “track funding progress” option. Your application status will be displayed on the screen, indicating whether it has been approved or not.
